The Aunta-Simaria 6-lane Ganga Bridge in Bihar is set to transform transportation and boost regional development. The bridge, located in Begusarai district, will provide improved access for residents across 25 districts in the state. The project, costing approximately 1871 crore rupees, includes a 1.865-kilometer bridge and 8.150 kilometers of approach roads. The new bridge connects Aunta and Simaria, streamlining travel between North and South Bihar.
The construction of the new 6-lane bridge addresses the congestion issues of the older two-lane rail-cum-road bridge. The improved infrastructure will facilitate the movement of heavy vehicles and ensure seamless 4-lane connectivity from Patna, through Mokama, to Begusarai and Khagaria.
