In a recent rally in Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD engaged in a moment of levity with Rahul Gandhi of the Congress. When questioned about remarks from Chirag Paswan, who had called him a ‘hanger-on’ of Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi responded with a playful remark. He jokingly advised Chirag Paswan, whom he considers an elder brother, to get married. This comment drew laughter from the audience and shifted the focus from political sparring. Rahul Gandhi then interjected, stating the advice was also relevant to him, prompting Tejashwi to mention that his father, Lalu Yadav, had been making similar suggestions to Gandhi. Gandhi further stated that all INDIA bloc members in Bihar are united and will soon release a joint manifesto. The leaders had also participated in the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Purnia earlier that day, a 1,300-km march that began on August 17 and will conclude in Patna on September 1, covering over 20 districts.
