A video of the SI, which has gained significant traction on social media, demonstrates the SI apparently negotiating the removal of sections of the law in exchange for money. The video spans 10 minutes and is now the subject of an official investigation. SP Manish Verma has initiated disciplinary proceedings.
The female SI has been suspended with immediate effect. Leelavati is the name of the suspended SI. The video shows her discussing money with an individual to have case charges dropped. The amounts of 5,000 and 20,000 rupees are explicitly mentioned.
Following the confirmation of the allegations, necessary action was taken. SP Manish Kumar Verma was alerted to the video, and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Bakhri was directed to conduct an inquiry. Upon the investigation’s conclusion, Leelavati was suspended. Moreover, disciplinary action has been initiated against her for violating departmental rules.
The Begusarai Police issued a press release to address the issue, acknowledging the circulation of the video featuring the female SI. The video was investigated, leading to immediate action.
