Bihar police have announced strict guidelines for the upcoming festive season, focusing on law and order and enhanced security. Key festivals like Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (September 5), Anant Chaturdashi (September 6), and Vishwakarma Puja (September 17) are the focus of the preparations. All processions will require licenses from local authorities. A complete prohibition on the use of DJs during processions has been enforced. Extra security forces are provided to all districts. Before any procession or immersion, peace committee meetings are mandatory. The routes for processions will be determined and physically verified. Additional forces will be deployed in sensitive areas. All processions must be videographed, and divers will be stationed at immersion ghats. District and police headquarters control rooms will operate continuously, with regular updates from the districts. Monitoring of rumors and social media is a priority. Preventive measures have been taken against many suspects.
