To combat the rise in cybercrime, Bihar is establishing cyber forensic labs in Patna and Rajgir. These labs will operate under the existing CID-run Forensic Science Lab (FSL). The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) from Gujarat will provide expert guidance and consultation for the establishment of the labs. The NFSU is a leading institution in forensic science education and research. The labs will enable the scientific investigation of cyber offenses, enhance the gathering of crucial evidence, and support the prosecution of cybercriminals. The establishment of these labs is vital in the context of the new legal framework, which places greater emphasis on digital evidence.
