With the Bihar assembly elections looming, the political landscape is seeing significant changes. Former minister Renu Kushwaha, along with her husband Vijay Kushwaha, has joined the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), signaling a strategic shift. The event took place at a function in Patna on Wednesday, June 25th, with Tejashwi Yadav in attendance. The addition of Renu Kushwaha is seen as a strategic win for the RJD, potentially bolstering their support base. This development also includes the joining of Raghvendra Singh Kushwaha, the former state president of Pappu Yadav’s Jan Adhikar Party (JAP), among others. Having previously been affiliated with the JDU and LJP, Renu Kushwaha’s experience is expected to benefit the RJD. The NDA is likely to view this development as a challenge.
Tejashwi Yadav shared the news via social media, emphasizing the joining of several prominent figures. He also commented on the current government’s performance, stating that the public is weary of the long-standing NDA rule. Renu Kushwaha has a strong political background, having served as a three-time MLA and a former MP. She originates from Khagaria, Bihar, and is recognized as a key figure from the backward classes, known for her work in social welfare and women’s empowerment.
