In a rally held in Motihari, Bihar, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, a prominent figure in the Congress party, criticized the ruling BJP and its alliance partner, the JDU, ahead of the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. She accused the NDA coalition of attempting to buy votes, citing the recent distribution of 7,500 crore rupees under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme. She questioned the sudden focus on such schemes after years in power. During the rally, she also accused the BJP of using divisive tactics, such as exploiting caste and religious tensions, to steal votes. She then turned her attention to the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, pointing out the collapse of multiple bridges over the past few years. She also brought up the matter of land allocation in Bhagalpur and its potential implications. In addition, she lauded her brother, Rahul Gandhi, for his extensive efforts in connecting with the public, referring to his long march as a testament to his commitment to the people. She also discussed the impact of US tariffs on the export of makhana, a significant agricultural product in North Bihar.
