A devastating road accident occurred in Bhagalpur, Bihar, specifically in Shahkund, where a DJ van overturned into a ditch. The accident resulted in the loss of five lives of Kanwariyas, while four others sustained injuries. The van was carrying nine occupants when the incident occurred. The van made contact with a power line, causing it to lose control and fall into a ditch. Five people died after being trapped under the van, while others managed to escape.
Two of the injured are in serious condition. Following the accident, all passengers were rushed to the Shahkund Community Health Center. The van was transporting Kanwariyas from Sultanganj to Jyeshthgaur Nath. The accident took place on the Sultanganj main road near Mahto Sthan, in the Shahkund police station area.
