In a bold move to transform Bihar’s economy, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced that all shuttered sugar mills in the state will soon restart operations. Speaking in Chhapra on Wednesday, Choudhary emphasized the government’s commitment to industrial growth, ensuring local youth don’t have to migrate for jobs.

The NDA government is prioritizing industrialization with one of India’s most investor-friendly policies. ‘We’re offering land for just one rupee and approving loans within 15 days,’ Choudhary said. This has already attracted high-tech ventures, including semiconductor factories, signaling a new era for Bihar’s manufacturing sector.

Choudhary praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s visionary journeys—Nyay Yatra, Pragati Yatra, and Samriddhi Yatra—which have directly engaged citizens to address core needs. These initiatives laid the groundwork for unprecedented advancements in roads, education, healthcare, and power supply.

During the recent Samriddhi Yatra in Saran district, Choudhary highlighted how Bihar achieved 24-hour electricity even in villages, a stark contrast to the past when urban areas got barely five hours. Today, 1.9 crore families receive up to 125 units of free power, zeroing out bills for nearly 1.7 crore households.

Looking ahead, an airport in Chhapra will enhance connectivity, spurring trade and tourism in Saran and nearby regions. With a target of one crore government jobs over the next five years, the government vows to fulfill every promise, propelling Bihar to new heights of prosperity.
