The Bihar government is implementing a state-wide cyber audit to combat the increasing frequency of cyberattacks targeting government entities. The Economic Offence Unit (EOU) will serve as the nodal agency, responsible for ensuring cyber security across all government departments and installations. This proactive step involves a detailed examination of online activities, websites, and online services to ensure they meet required cyber security standards. Discrepancies identified during the audit will be addressed promptly. The audit will be conducted in partnership with C-DAC, I4C, and other specialized agencies. Recent cyber incidents at various government sites, including AIIMS Patna, have emphasized the importance of this initiative. ADG, EOU Nayyar Hasnain Khan, stated that the government is committed to addressing the issue of cybercrime and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
