Lalu Yadav, speaking at a voter rights rally in Sasaram, Bihar, called for the removal of the BJP and urged support for his party. He emphasized the importance of unity among opposition leaders such as Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, and Mallikarjun Kharge. His speech included a reference to a familiar song, signaling his intent to strongly challenge the BJP. Rahul Gandhi accused the Election Commission of manipulating votes, specifically mentioning irregularities in Maharashtra where new voters appeared to benefit the BJP. He also highlighted investigations in Karnataka and criticized the EC’s alleged lack of transparency. Tejashwi Yadav praised Rahul Gandhi’s efforts and spoke against the exploitation of the people of Bihar. The voter rights यात्रा, a 16-day initiative covering 1300 km, aims to challenge the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar and engage with voters across various districts, in the run-up to the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for October-November.
