The 2025 Bihar election results are painting a clear picture of an NDA advantage, with the ruling coalition, including JD(U) and BJP, consolidating its position across the state. This surge contrasts with the struggles faced by Tejashwi Yadav’s Mahagathbandhan (MGB), which is finding it difficult to match the momentum of the incumbent alliance.

Early counting trends from Digha show BJP’s Sanjiv Chaurasia extending his lead over Divya Gautam, a candidate linked to CPI(ML)-L and the family of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Chaurasia’s firm grip on the seat is evident from his substantial lead.

In Chapra, Bhojpuri actor Khesari Lal Yadav, running for RJD as Satrughan Yadav, is facing a disappointing electoral debut. He continues to trail BJP’s Chhoti Kumari, who has consistently widened her lead, casting doubt on the actor’s political breakthrough.

Tejashwi Yadav’s own electoral battle in Raghopur is a focal point. Initial reports suggested a close contest with BJP’s Satish Kumar, creating a moment of anxiety for the MGB. The seat’s outcome is seen as having significant symbolic value.

The Raghunathpur constituency is witnessing the ascent of Osama Shahab, son of the late Mohammad Shahabuddin. Shahab has established a commanding lead, outpacing JD(U)’s Vikash Kumar Singh and emerging as one of the day’s early success stories.

Tej Pratap Yadav’s electoral prospects in Mahua appear dim, as candidates from his Janashakti Janata Dal are trailing. His own performance in Mahua is not meeting expectations, contradicting his earlier optimistic pronouncements.

Conversely, singer and first-time BJP contestant Maithili Thakur is demonstrating a strong performance in Alinagar, securing a comfortable lead. The AIMIM is also making noteworthy gains, leading in Kochadhaman, Amour, and Baisi, indicating a growing voter base for the party in specific regions.

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary, is maintaining a strong position in Tarapur. State Congress chief Rajesh Kumar is finding the electoral battle difficult in Kutumba, trailing behind his opponent. The Mokama seat is characterized by a very tight race, with Anant Singh of JD(U) holding a slender lead over RJD’s Veena Devi.
