Patna, January 30: Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha has intensified his crackdown on land mafias and corruption within his department. Speaking firmly to reporters on Friday, Sinha issued a stark warning: those involved in illegal land dealings and departmental malpractices must mend their ways or brace for severe consequences.

‘I fear no one,’ Sinha declared, recounting how he contested elections from his constituency by directly confronting criminals and emerged victorious. This bold experience has now fueled his resolve to dismantle networks of land mafias, middlemen, and corrupt revenue officials plaguing Bihar’s land administration.

Drawing inspiration from former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sinha emphasized that he will not tolerate any wrongdoing. ‘Officials or employees who obstruct action against land mafias are indirectly aiding them,’ he stated. Strict measures are imminent against such elements, with no one spared.

Honest officers working in public interest have nothing to worry about, assured Sinha. However, those colluding with mafias will face the full force of the law. During the Land Reforms Jan Samvad program, guilty circle officers and others could be suspended on the spot.

Sinha stressed that all actions will be evidence-based and uncompromising. The government’s campaign aims to usher in a transparent, efficient, and citizen-friendly land reform system. ‘Wrongdoers in Bihar can no longer escape; our administration is geared for tough action with clear directives to officials,’ he concluded, signaling a new era of accountability in the state’s revenue sector.
