Two years after the historic pran pratishtha of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, the city stands reborn as a beacon of faith and development. On January 22, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the sacred consecration ceremony, fulfilling centuries-old dreams of millions of devotees. Today, as the second anniversary dawns, saints and pilgrims across the region are jubilant, attributing the stunning transformation of Ayodhya to visionary leadership.
Mahant Sitaram Das of Saket Bhawan Temple hailed the occasion with fervor. ‘Exactly two years ago, under PM Modi’s hands, Ram Lalla was enshrined in the garbha griha, realizing the long-standing wish of Sanatanis,’ he declared. He praised how Ayodhya has been adorned just as described in ancient Vedas and Puranas, thanks to PM Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. ‘No one could have imagined such splendor. Sanatana Dharma is at its peak, mirroring the Treta Yuga’s glory.’
The changes are palpable. Temples nationwide are undergoing beautification, but Ayodhya leads the way. Kripalu Maharaj of Ayodhya Dham echoed the sentiment, noting special programs and evening ghee lamps lighting up temples. ‘In two years, Ayodhya has developed immensely—it feels like Ram Rajya has arrived,’ he said, expressing heartfelt gratitude to Modi and Yogi.
Infrastructure has surged ahead. Sharad Sharma from Ram Janmabhoomi highlighted new railway stations, an international airport, and expanded bus services to accommodate surging pilgrims. Last year saw 25 crore visitors from India and abroad; this year already nears 20-22 crore. ‘People now celebrate birthdays with Ram Lalla darshan instead of Goa or Taj Mahal,’ Sharma quipped.
Acharya Amit Das of Siddh Peeth Hanumangarhi called the day auspicious, marking the end of a 500-year struggle. ‘Ayodhya is now complete—its narrative and visage transformed into something divine and unforgettable.’ As celebrations unfold, Ayodhya symbolizes not just religious revival but a model of holistic progress, inspiring devotion and development nationwide.
