AYODHYA: In a major boost for pilgrims visiting the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, high-tech facilities are set to transform the visitor experience. Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Construction Committee, announced plans for immersive 3D galleries and advanced exhibits during a recent meeting.
The temple complex will soon feature a grand gallery offering a three-dimensional experience of temple rituals, including pooja, aarti, and virtual darshan of 14 sacred shrines. This setup ensures that even devotees unable to enter the crowded main sanctum can participate virtually from dedicated rooms, easing congestion during peak times.
Mishra revealed that tenders are out for a specialized company to create comprehensive 3D video mappings of the entire temple premises. ‘This will allow pilgrims to enjoy seamless darshan without the hassle of crowds,’ he emphasized.
Two educational galleries are also in the works. The first will chronicle 500 years of history with detailed exhibits, while the second will showcase archaeological artifacts from excavations, reinforcing the site’s historical authenticity and educating visitors.
Adding to the innovation, a ‘Pushpak’ gallery employing 7D technology will recreate Lord Ram’s divine footsteps across legendary locations. Pilgrims will also benefit from lockers for belongings and climate-controlled spaces to beat the summer heat.
With construction of remaining temple elements underway and these projects slated for completion in 6-9 months, Ayodhya is poised to offer world-class amenities. The committee’s back-to-back meetings underscore the commitment to a hassle-free pilgrimage, blending devotion with cutting-edge technology.
