Itanagar buzzed with patriotic fervor on Arunachal Pradesh Statehood Day, February 20. Chief Minister Pema Khandu expressed profound gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his inspiring message to the state’s residents. In a heartfelt post on social media, Khandu highlighted how Modi’s words captured the essence of Arunachal’s spirit.

PM Modi described Arunachal Pradesh as India’s land where the sun rises first, a region brimming with patriotism, zeal, and innovation. He praised the unique local tradition of greeting each other with ‘Jai Hind,’ calling it a vibrant symbol of national unity and pride. This gesture, Modi noted, reflects the unbreakable bond between the people and the nation.

Khandu echoed these sentiments, crediting Modi’s decade-long leadership for propelling the state to new developmental heights. Under the central government’s guidance, Arunachal has seen remarkable strides in connectivity, infrastructure, healthcare, education, tourism, and sustainable livelihoods. Iconic projects like the Sela Tunnel, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY, Ujala scheme, and Vibrant Villages Program stand as testaments to the commitment towards the state’s progress.

The Chief Minister emphasized the contributions of Arunachalis in national security and growth. From soldiers guarding remote borders to youth excelling in sports, arts, and entrepreneurship, the people continue to shine. Khandu also appreciated Modi’s vision for preserving cultural heritage through the Gyan Bharatam Mission, digitizing rare manuscripts to inspire future generations.

As celebrations unfolded across the state, Khandu reaffirmed the resolve to build a prosperous, vibrant, and united Arunachal Pradesh. PM Modi’s wishes for a bright future resonated deeply, promising hope, progress, and enduring patriotism for generations to come.
