New Delhi buzzed with sharp political rhetoric as BJP MP Anurag Thakur unleashed a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a recent interview. Likening the grand old party to a fish gasping out of water, Thakur painted a picture of desperation after decades out of power.
Thakur didn’t hold back, pointing to Congress’s disruptive tactics in Parliament. ‘They created chaos without any solid ground,’ he said, referencing instances where Rahul Gandhi and his colleagues stalled proceedings on the President’s address and the budget. ‘Fallen from the sky, stuck on a date palm,’ he quipped, capturing their awkward predicament.
The BJP stalwart highlighted Congress’s inability to engage substantively. ‘A leader who can’t distinguish between trade, commerce, and finance—what can he achieve?’ Thakur questioned. He accused them of baseless allegations, speaker confrontations, and fact-free rants, a far cry from their 60 years of governance.
Under Rahul’s watch, Congress has lost 95 elections, with more defeats looming, Thakur claimed. He alleged foreign influences, joking about ‘Uncle Sam’s SIM’ and ‘Soros software’ dictating their anti-national stance.
In contrast, Thakur praised PM Modi’s transformative leadership. From a wobbly economy plagued by corruption to a robust, secure India on the global stage—Modi’s era marks progress, he asserted. Congress’s power hunger, he concluded, only underscores their irrelevance in today’s India.
