New Delhi marked the somber fifth anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack with heartfelt tributes from top leaders. Union Home Minister Amit Shah led the remembrances, honoring the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the 2019 assault. In a poignant post on X, Shah declared terrorism as humanity’s greatest enemy and reaffirmed India’s unwavering commitment to its complete elimination.

Shah’s message resonated deeply: ‘Remembering the valor of our heroic soldiers martyred in the Pulwama terror attack. I bow to them. Our security forces’ courage, dedication, and sacrifice in confronting terrorism will forever be indebted to the nation.’ This comes as India continues its resolute fight against cross-border terrorism, with enhanced security measures in place post the tragedy that claimed 40 CRPF lives.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha echoed the sentiments, paying humble tribute to the martyrs. ‘Their unwavering commitment to the motherland, unparalleled bravery, and selfless service will inspire every citizen eternally,’ Sinha posted. BJP National President JP Nadda also remembered the fallen heroes, stating their sacrifice for the nation’s defense remains etched in memory, fueling strength in every Indian.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta joined the chorus, offering emotional homage to the valiant jawans. ‘The nation is forever grateful for your indomitable courage and valor,’ she wrote. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reflected on the heroes’ devotion, resolve, and service, noting it endures immortally in collective consciousness.

The Pulwama attack, executed by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed, shook the nation on February 14, 2019, when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy. India’s response included airstrikes on terror camps in Balakot, signaling zero tolerance. Today, leaders’ unified voices underscore a national pledge: terrorism will be rooted out, ensuring no repeat of such barbarity.
