The Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) has initiated the process of identifying partners for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) project by inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI). The goal is to shortlist Indian companies that can contribute to the design, prototyping, flight testing, and certification of this indigenous fifth-generation fighter jet. The ADA is open to applications from individual companies, joint ventures, or consortiums that comply with all applicable Indian laws and regulations. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in the aerospace and defense sectors, possess the technical capability to implement the AMCA design, and have significant experience in development, engineering, manufacturing, integration, testing, quality management, and customer support. Selected entities will also be required to establish a facility for series production. The contract duration for the complete project, from development to certification, will not exceed eight years. This move follows the approval of the AMCA Programme Execution Model by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in May, a crucial step in enhancing India’s indigenous defense capabilities and bolstering the domestic aerospace industry.
