NEW DELHI: The Indian Air Drive on Saturday stated it deployed 8 helicopters as a part of the rescue and reduction operations following the cloudburst incident close to the Amarnath cave shrine.

The IAF stated 4 Mi-17V5 and 4 Cheetal helicopters had been deployed for rescue and reduction efforts on the Amarnath shrine.
“The Cheetal helicopters flew 45 sorties, inducting 5 NDRF and Military staff and three.5 tonnes of reduction subject matter whilst evacuating 45 survivors from the holy cave,” an IAF spokesperson stated.
The Mi-17V5 helicopters flew 20 sorties, delivered 9.5 tonnes of reduction subject matter and evacuated 64 survivors, the reputable stated including the choppers introduced again seven mortal stays from the realm.
An-32 shipping airplane and a Dornier aircraft also are being utilised to airlift handheld radar apparatus from Imphal to Srinagar.
