All front‑line wings – including their district and metropolitan presidents and committees – were also dissolved. The order extends beyond the local level; state‑level SP officials linked to Gorakhpur and provincial front‑line executives have been stripped of their posts. The move follows a chaotic press conference at the Gorakhpur Journalists Press Club, where a dispute over seating escalated into verbal abuse and physical altercations, including an alleged slapping of a former district head.
