Akhilesh Yadav, Samajwadi Party’s leader, has criticized the BJP for not organizing a farewell for Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and questioned the intentions behind the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar. Yadav believes the ECI’s actions are politically driven to favor the BJP. He also pointed out that the Opposition, including himself, has been protesting the SIR exercise, with the issue causing considerable disruptions in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. They also protested outside Parliament, displaying placards and calling for a halt to the voter revision process.
