Lucknow, February 21: Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai has showered praise on Youth Congress activists for their bold protest at the AI Summit held at Bharat Mandapam. ‘No amount of appreciation is enough for our young warriors,’ Rai declared, highlighting their commendable stand against what he called a blatant display of foreign technology.
In an exclusive conversation, Rai revealed that his party’s workers were physically assaulted by BJP supporters during the demonstration. He pointed fingers at Galgotias University for showcasing a robotic dog of Chinese origin, terming it an insult to Indian scientists and the nation at large. ‘What action has the government taken against the university?’ he questioned, saluting the Youth Congress members for raising their voices.
Rai didn’t hold back on criticizing the BJP, accusing them of dodging real issues like unemployment and inflation. ‘The BJP only knows how to create controversies; their days are numbered,’ he asserted confidently.
Shifting focus to national security, Rai expressed grave concern over black flags shown to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi en route to Bhiwandi court. ‘Rahul ji’s life is in danger; he is receiving threats. He must be provided SPG security immediately,’ he demanded.
Defending Priyanka Gandhi Vadra against BJP leaders’ remarks, Rai described her as a deeply religious figure who respects all faiths. ‘She visited Maa Kamakhya and honors everyone’s beliefs,’ he said.
Echoing similar sentiments, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury called Rahul Gandhi a fearless leader undeterred by threats or conspiracies. He also slammed the AI Summit for promoting Chinese and American products over Indian innovations, urging focus on pressing issues like joblessness and education.
