New Delhi’s intelligence agencies have uncovered a sinister plot exploiting the escalating Iran-US-Israel conflict to radicalize Indian youth. Just a week into the war, which claimed the life of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, extremist elements are using artificial intelligence to craft deceptive videos in multiple Indian languages.

The Intelligence Bureau (IB) reports that these AI-generated clips are tailored to resonate locally—Malayalam for Kerala, Kashmiri for Jammu and Kashmir, and Hindi for Uttar Pradesh. The goal is clear: lure vulnerable young people into radical ideologies, regardless of Shia or Sunni affiliations.

As tensions rise in West Asia with Iran’s retaliatory strikes on American and Israeli interests, Indian security forces are on high alert. Channels and social media platforms are being probed for subtle propaganda. Influencers running religious content are under scrutiny, as they weave provocative narratives around themes like Shia massacres and attacks on the global Muslim ummah.

Government advisories have warned of infiltrations at prayer gatherings and solidarity rallies following Khamenei’s death. Recent mourning processions in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Delhi by Shia communities could become hotspots. Even groups like ISIS, traditionally anti-Shia, and Al-Qaeda are poised to capitalize, pushing anti-US-Israel agendas to recruit.

ISI-backed elements are also implicated, aiming to weaken India through a thousand cuts via lone wolf attacks. Financial transactions and encrypted messages are under vigilant monitoring. This isn’t a flash-in-the-pan scheme; it’s a long-term strategy to build a radical base for future large-scale assaults.

Agencies emphasize that messaging is currently subtle, testing waters, but expect overt calls to violence as the war intensifies. India’s multi-agency response underscores the gravity: a proactive defense against foreign-fueled domestic extremism.
