Bengaluru’s vibrant sports scene turned dark during a celebrity women’s cricket tournament at Koramangla Indoor Stadium. An actress and reality TV contestant has come forward with a shocking allegation: she was secretly filmed in the stadium restroom and then subjected to blackmail.

The incident unfolded on the second day of the event, which drew crowds eager to see stars in action. According to the complaint filed with the cyber crime police, an unknown individual captured the video without her knowledge. The footage, along with compromising photos, was later sent to her Instagram account and forwarded to a close friend.

The perpetrator issued a chilling ultimatum: pay up or watch the material go viral across social media. This brazen extortion attempt has left the entertainment industry reeling, highlighting the growing dangers of privacy invasions in public spaces.

Police have registered a case under the Information Technology Act and sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including provisions against voyeurism (Section 77), extortion (Section 308), and criminal intimidation (Section 351). These laws specifically criminalize the secret recording and dissemination of private images of women, as well as threats to release them for gain.

Investigators are zeroing in on an Instagram account ‘swan.3704722’ from which the threatening messages originated. Technical teams are working tirelessly to trace the IP address and unmask the culprit. No arrests have been made yet, but authorities assure swift action as digital footprints lead them closer to the perpetrator.

This case serves as a stark reminder for public figures attending events. Enhanced security measures in restrooms and stricter cyber vigilance are now under discussion. The actress, displaying remarkable courage, has urged others facing similar ordeals to report without fear. As the probe deepens, Bengaluru police vow to deliver justice and deter future predators lurking in the shadows of celebrity gatherings.
