CHANDIGARH: An Aam Aadmi Celebration municipal councillor used to be shot lifeless through two unidentified individuals in Punjab’s Malerkotla district on Sunday, police mentioned.
Mohammad Akbar used to be shot from shut vary when he used to be in a gymnasium, they mentioned.
“An individual got here within the gymnasium and he shot him (Akbar),” mentioned Malerkotla Senior Superintendent of Police Avneet Kaur Sidhu.
A bullet hit Akbar and he died at the spot, police mentioned, including that the assailants fled after committing the crime.
Efforts are on to track the assailants, mentioned Sidhu, including a case has been registered on this regard.
