The Aam Aadmi Party has strongly criticized the Haryana government’s land pooling policy, accusing it of benefiting brokers and the builder lobby at the expense of farmers. AAP contends that the policy excludes 90% of farmers with less than 10 acres of land, effectively leaving them at the mercy of brokers. The party highlights that the compensation offered to farmers is inadequate, often based on circle rates rather than the higher market rates. AAP alleges that BJP leaders and ministers have engaged in land speculation in areas where the policy is being implemented, raising serious questions about corruption and abuse of power. AAP states that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is prioritizing a corporate vision for the state, showing disregard for the concerns of farmers.
