NEW DELHI: Days after former Assam Congress leader Ripun Bora joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC), birthday celebration chief Mukul Sangma has introduced that a number of Congress leaders from the northeastern state will sign up for the Mamata Banerjee-led birthday celebration in Guwahati on Wednesday.
Amongst those that will sign up for the TMC are some necessary grassroots-level leaders, Sangma instructed PTI.
“Some Congress leaders can be officially inducted in Guwahati on Wednesday. A couple of amongst the ones are necessary grassroots-level leaders. A programme has been organised for his or her induction,” the previous Meghalaya leader minister stated.
The induction rite will happen at Guwahati’s Rukmininagar Bihu Box at 10:30 am.
But even so Bora, Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev and Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra can be some of the TMC leaders provide on the becoming a member of tournament.
The announcement was once made via Sangma whilst rubbishing the “hearsay” that “TMC MLAs in Meghalaya are set to sign up for the Nationwide Folks’s birthday celebration (NPP)”.
Taking to Twitter, Sangma wrote, “Slowly however ceaselessly INC leaders from all rank and report in Meghalaya and NE states can be leaving d grand outdated birthday celebration – some INC leaders will officially sign up for AITC on 27/4/22 (sic).”
The improvement comes after Bora joined the TMC on April 17.
Bora has been appointed because the birthday celebration’s Assam unit president.
