NEW DELHI: 9 states, together with Telangana and Meghalaya, have withdrawn common consent given to the Central Bureau of Investigation for probing sure offences, Union Minister Jitendra Singh stated on Wednesday.
As in step with phase 6 of the Delhi Particular Police Established order (DSPE) Act, 1946, the CBI wishes consent from the respective state governments to behavior investigations of their jurisdiction, he stated in respond to a written query in Lok Sabha.
With regards to the availability of phase 6 of the DSPE Act, 1946, the state governments have granted common consent to the CBI for the investigation of a specified elegance of offences towards specified classes of individuals, enabling the company to sign in and examine the ones specified issues, Singh, the Minister of State for Group of workers, stated.
Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Kerala, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana and West Bengal have withdrawn common consent to the CBI to research instances, he added.
