3 held for stealing livestock from cow refuge in Maharashtra

PALGHAR: 3 individuals have been arrested for allegedly stealing buffaloes from a refuge at Vasai in Palghar district of Maharashtra, police mentioned on Sunday.

The buffaloes have been stolen from the Aryavarth Gaushala situated close to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple within the Pelhar space on April 6, police mentioned in a unencumber.

Police additionally seized a small truck value Rs 2 lakh from the accused trio- Muzzamel Noor Mohammad Qureshi, Mustafa Istakaruddin and Azhar Sanawat Sheikh.

They have been booked below more than a few sections of the Indian Penal Code and provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and the Natural world Coverage Act.
