‘3 birthday party MLAs cross-voted in Maharashtra MLC polls’, claims BJP chief Mohit Kamboj

MUMBAI: Even because the BJP received all 5 seats it contested within the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections on Monday, Mohit Kamboj, its chief from Mumbai, claimed that 3 MLAs of the birthday party indulged in “cross-voting”.

The BJP had fielded 5 applicants – Pravin Darekar, Ram Shinde, Uma Khapre, Shrikant Bharatiya and Prasad Lad – of which the primary 4 bagged the minimal quota of votes required to win the ballot within the first spherical of counting.

Lad received in the second one spherical, whilst Congress’ Chandrakant Handore misplaced. Kamboj is understood for his proximity to senior BJP chief and previous leader minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Previous, reacting to the birthday party’s victory, Fadnavis had stated, “There’s a large number of hypothesis about cross-voting, and many others, however I by myself know who voted for which candidate. I thank the entire unbiased MLAs and small events for his or her toughen.”
