Hyderabad’s film scene is buzzing with excitement as Yash’s much-awaited action thriller ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ bolsters its star-studded cast. Producers have officially announced the addition of Akshay Oberoi and Sudeev Nair, bringing fresh intensity to this dark, stylish saga.
Akshay Oberoi steps into the shoes of Tony, a character evoking the gritty charm of 1950s gangsters. With his long mustache, vintage attire, and an air of old-school swagger, Tony embodies a man who thrives on violence. Beneath his calm demeanor lies a simmering menace, perfectly captured in Oberoi’s striking first-look poster that has fans raving.
Sudeev Nair, on the other hand, portrays Karmadi, a grounded yet enigmatic figure. Sporting a flat cap, straight mustache, piercing steady gaze, and a signature gun in hand, Nair’s look screams quiet power. This role promises to add layers of mystery and raw strength to the film’s high-octane narrative.
Director Geetu Mohandas couldn’t hold back her praise for the newcomers. ‘Sudeev was the perfect fit for Karmadi,’ she shared. ‘His talent runs deep, conveying volumes with minimal words. On set, he led with quiet authority, supporting the entire team. He’s not just an actor; he’s a true team player who elevates the project.’
Turning to Oberoi, Mohandas added, ‘Working with Akshay was special. His curiosity stands out—he dives deep into the script, asks probing questions, and strengthens every character beat. He seeks authenticity in every scene, delivering outstanding performances even in challenging moments.’
The film’s teaser, recently unveiled, showcases Yash in a sleek clean-shaven avatar, hinting at the thrilling world awaiting audiences. Produced by Venkat K. Narayanan and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, ‘Toxic’ features a powerhouse ensemble including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria.
Shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, the movie will release in dubbed versions across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and more languages. Mark your calendars for March 19, when ‘Toxic’ storms theaters, promising a visual and narrative spectacle unlike any other.
