Mumbai is buzzing with anticipation for actor Vishal Mohan’s upcoming film ‘Yadav Ji Ki Love Story’. In an exclusive chat, the rising star opened up about his philosophy on fame, emphasizing substance over fleeting success.
‘I want to build a lasting career as an actor,’ Vishal declared firmly. ‘Instant stardom isn’t my goal. I prefer steady progress, bringing something fresh to every project that keeps audiences hooked.’
Hailing from Indore, Vishal initially dreamed of directing but pivoted to acting, determined to hone his skills. He stressed the importance of understanding the technical side of filmmaking. ‘Experience behind the camera sharpens your grasp of lighting, framing, scripting, and performance. It deepens your craft immensely,’ he explained.
When it comes to roles, Vishal gravitates toward gritty, intense characters far removed from glamour. ‘I love rough, layered parts like Pan Singh Tomar – roles with profound depth, transformation, physical demands, and emotional intensity that push me out of my comfort zone,’ he shared enthusiastically.
Fans have more to look forward to. Vishal is set to appear in the sequel to Rani Mukerji’s 1998 hit ‘Mehndi’, directed by Hamid Ali, who cast him after reviewing his prior work. ‘No pressure at all,’ Vishal said confidently. ‘The director’s trust motivated me to take on this responsibility.’
Looking ahead, Vishal is venturing into South Indian cinema with a villainous role. Post ‘Yadav Ji Ki Love Story’, audiences will see him in ‘Aashiqui Imtihaan Le Ti’ and other projects, including his South debut. His focus remains on challenging himself and delivering memorable performances that stand the test of time.
