Interestingly, there’s an untold story of an actress who rejected a significant film despite Prabhas’s extensive efforts to secure her, even after the ‘Baahubali’ phenomenon.
Last year, Prabhas’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ earned over 1000 crore worldwide. Following this, he made a cameo appearance, and he is currently occupied with filming various projects. His upcoming film, ‘The Raja Saab,’ is scheduled for release next year. While numerous actresses are eager to collaborate with him, one actress notably turned down a film despite Prabhas’s success with ‘Baahubali.’
This event occurred in 2019, when Prabhas collaborated with Shraddha Kapoor in an action thriller. The film featured prominent Bollywood actors, including Chunky Panday, Jackie Shroff, Vijay, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Mandira Bedi. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film was commercially successful, grossing 149 crore. It’s reported that Katrina Kaif was the initial choice for ‘Saaho,’ and the filmmakers spent six months trying to cast her. Prabhas also waited for her, but she ultimately rejected the role.
Katrina had been offered ‘Saaho’ before ‘Baahubali 2’ but declined the opportunity. The filmmakers decided not to pursue her further. Katrina has not publicly commented on these rumors. Another report indicates that she wanted to be a part of Prabhas’s film but chose to support Salman Khan instead.
During that time, Salman Khan was working on ‘Bharat.’ After Priyanka Chopra left the project, Salman’s film faced difficulties. To support him, she is said to have declined Prabhas’s offer. However, the actress has not publicly addressed this issue.
