Malayalam cinema’s ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra,’ a superhero film, has achieved substantial success, drawing audiences with its unique concept. The film follows a young woman as she acquires and utilizes mystical powers to safeguard the world. ‘Lokah’ has received positive reception and has performed well at the box office. In India, the film’s net collection has reached Rs 24.3 crore (Rs 28.4 crore gross) within four days. This includes a remarkable Sunday collection of Rs 10 crore. Overseas, the film has performed well, with collections exceeding $4 million (approximately Rs 35 crore), thereby raising the global total to over Rs 63 crore within its initial four days. Given its current momentum, the film is expected to achieve the Rs 100 crore milestone shortly. The film, a blend of Indian mythology, modern sci-fi, and horror elements, is the first film in the Wayfarer Cinematic Universe (WCU), starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen.
