Coimbatore, February 15: On the sacred occasion of Maha Shivratri, actress and Miss Supranational 2016 winner Srinidhi Shetty visited Sadhguru’s ashram, opening up about her deep connection to the festival and life’s spiritual dimensions.
In an exclusive conversation, Srinidhi reminisced about her childhood experiences with Maha Shivratri. ‘This festival has always held a special place in my heart,’ she shared. ‘As a child, it was all about worshipping Lord Shiva, savoring delicious festive foods, and staying up all night. But school routines often robbed us of fully immersing in the joy.’
Turning to modern life’s challenges, Srinidhi emphasized the role of meditation. ‘Life can get overwhelming with its ups and downs,’ she noted. ‘Not every day is perfect, and that’s when meditation becomes essential to regain balance.’
Drawing inspiration from Sadhguru’s teachings, she explained, ‘Meditation isn’t just about sitting in silence; it’s a state of constant connection. Even a few minutes whenever possible can help you tap into inner peace and awareness.’
For Srinidhi, spiritual practices are now integral to her routine. ‘They keep my daily life balanced, offering mental tranquility and clarity in both professional and personal spheres,’ she added.
Srinidhi’s acting journey began with a bang in the Kannada blockbuster ‘KGF: Chapter 1’ in 2018, where her performance earned her a nomination for Best Female Debut at the South Indian International Movie Awards. She reprised her role in ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ (2022), which became one of India’s highest-grossing films that year.
Her versatility shone in the Tamil film ‘Cobra’ and the Telugu thriller ‘HIT: The Third Case,’ where she portrayed IPS officer Mrudula to critical acclaim. Srinidhi’s ability to infuse depth and nuance into her characters sets her apart in the industry.
As she continues to blend spirituality with stardom, Srinidhi Shetty exemplifies how ancient traditions can guide contemporary success.
