Troubles continue to escalate for Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her husband Raj Kundra, as the Bombay High Court has denied them the ability to travel abroad. This restriction is a direct result of a Look Out Circular (LOC) issued by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), effectively barring international travel unless cleared by investigators or the court.

Shilpa Shetty’s legal counsel had informed the court of her scheduled attendance at a YouTube event in Colombo from October 25th to 29th. The court’s query regarding an invitation was met with a response that it would be acquired upon receiving travel permission. However, the court mandated that a sum of Rs 60 crore, linked to fraud accusations, must first be deposited. The next judicial review of the matter is scheduled for October 14, 2025.

The foundation of the case lies in businessman Deepak Kothari’s complaint alleging a conspiracy by Shilpa and Raj to cheat him out of over Rs 60 crore. Kothari contends that funds intended for business expansion between 2015 and 2023 were allegedly siphoned off for personal spending. Raj Kundra had previously hinted that a portion of the Rs 60 crore in question was paid as remuneration to actresses Bipasha Basu and Neha Dhupia. According to sources, Kundra remained largely reticent on pivotal details during his interrogation by the EOW, prompting further scrutiny. Investigators are reportedly tracing fund flows from company accounts directly into the accounts of four actresses, including Shilpa Shetty, Bipasha Basu, and Neha Dhupia, with Balaji Entertainment also appearing in transaction records.
