Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital has shared a positive update on Bollywood veteran Salim Khan, father of Salman Khan. Admitted on February 17, the 89-year-old screenwriter suffered a minimal brain hemorrhage but dodged surgery.

Senior doctor Jalil Parkar explained that such minor cases often don’t require invasive procedures. Instead, a Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) was performed to assess brain vessels and blood flow. High blood pressure was also detected initially.

Currently on ventilator support in the ICU, Salim Khan’s condition is improving steadily. Doctors are monitoring his recovery closely, noting slower healing due to his age. Plans are underway to remove ventilator aid and shift him out of intensive care soon.

The news triggered a wave of support from family and industry friends. Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Shura Khan, Arpita Khan Sharma, Alvira Khan, grandchildren Nirvana and Ahil, wives Salma and Helen, Javed Akhtar, Jishan Siddiqui, and others rushed to the hospital.

Salim Khan, celebrated for scripting hits like Sholay and Deewaar, remains under 24-hour observation. Fans worldwide are relieved and sending prayers for his swift recovery.
