Saharanpur, February 18: In a moment of relief for fans, veteran comedian Rajpal Yadav stepped out of Tihar Jail on interim bail in a cheque bounce case and returned to his ancestral home. Speaking exclusively to reporters, the actor expressed deep gratitude to his supporters while reaffirming his faith in the judicial system.
Arriving home on Tuesday amid jubilant family celebrations, Yadav described the ongoing festivities that are set to continue through Thursday and Friday. ‘I’ll address the media in detail after these family events,’ he said, keeping his words measured yet heartfelt.
On the legal front, Yadav deferred specifics to his lawyer, Bhaskar Upadhyay, emphasizing his unwavering respect for the courts. ‘I’ve always sought refuge in the judiciary and will continue to do so. Whatever the High Court decides, I will fully comply,’ he stated firmly.
The actor promised a full press conference soon, where he plans to field all questions openly. His message of thanks resonated widely: ‘Through this platform, I want to thank everyone across the nation, the film industry, and common people who stood by me on social media and beyond. Their blessings and support mean the world to me.’
Reflecting on his career, Yadav highlighted the solidarity from millions. ‘I always believed the country, Indian cinema, and countless fans were with me. This support will last a lifetime. Cinema is my karma bhoomi, opening doors worldwide.’
The cheque bounce case, which led to his incarceration, sees its next hearing on March 18. As Yadav rebuilds, his fans eagerly await his return to the silver screen, a testament to his enduring popularity in Bollywood’s comedy circuit.
