    Jaswinder Bhalla, a celebrated comedian, passed away on August 22 at the age of 65. He was a prominent figure in Punjabi cinema, and his death occurred at Fortis Hospital. His funeral is scheduled for August 23 in Mohali. Bhalla earned a special place in the hearts of audiences with his distinct comedic style and memorable characters. He built a foundation through stage shows and comedy albums in the 1980s and 1990s. His filmography includes appearances in the comedy *Dulha Bhatti* and the Hindi film *Mahaul Theek Hai* directed by Jaspal Bhatti. He later appeared in successful Punjabi films like *Jatt & Juliet*, *Sardarji*, and *Carry On Jatta*. His portrayal of ‘Advocate Dhillon’ in the *Carry On Jatta* franchise endeared him to audiences. His talent for dialogue and unique delivery made even his supporting roles memorable. He leaves behind his wife, Paramdeep, and their son, Pukhraj Bhalla, also an actor who made his debut in music videos and films. They both appeared in the 2013 film, ‘Stupid 7’. Bhalla was known for bringing laughter and wit to supporting roles, and he significantly contributed to the evolution of Punjabi cinema. His legacy as a comedian and actor will continue to inspire future generations.
