With the excitement building for the upcoming 19th season of Bigg Boss, allegations have surfaced, involving Dr. Abhineet Gupta and Priyanka Banerjee. Gupta alleges a scam related to the show, claiming Banerjee misled him with false promises of participation.
Priyanka Banerjee responded to these claims in an exclusive interview with TV9 Hindi, firmly rejecting the accusations. She asserted that the allegations are a publicity stunt. During the interview, Banerjee answered several questions posed by TV9 Hindi.
Regarding her relationship with Dr. Gupta, Banerjee shared that they met in Bhopal, during her beauty pageant, Persona Mrs. India. Gupta was interested in getting famous, so he was invited as a jury member for her company, and she offered him PR to make him famous. She explained that she covered his expenses, and he took some auditions but that no money was exchanged.
Concerning Gupta’s claim of a meeting with Endemol and requests for money for a Bigg Boss spot, Banerjee clarified that they were discussing pageant sponsorship with Endemol. Gupta, who was very interested in Bigg Boss, was included in the meeting as a gesture of friendship. She clarified that the meeting was about the brand, not Bigg Boss. She denied any financial dealings.
When asked if Gupta’s actions seemed like a publicity stunt, Banerjee agreed. She stated it was a deliberate attempt to gain attention, especially with Bigg Boss casting underway. She mentioned that the public also views it as a publicity stunt.
Regarding the impact on her personal life, Banerjee, a single mother, discussed the difficulties. She expressed concerns about her son’s image and potential custody issues. She also spoke of the intense stress she’s been experiencing.
Regarding legal action, Banerjee stated that she has filed a complaint and will take legal action. She believes it is an attempt to damage her reputation. She highlighted the importance of her reputation, particularly as a divorced single mother. She said she needs to fight for her image.
Banerjee hasn’t contacted Gupta since his social media posts. She doesn’t feel she can forgive him, considering his actions intentional and disrespectful.
