Oscars 2022: Deaf actor Kotsur wins Oscar for supporting position in ‘CODA’

LOS ANGELES: Troy Kotsur, the primary deaf male actor nominated for an Oscar, received best-supporting honors for his position in “CODA” on the Academy Awards on Sunday.

Kotsur joins “CODA” costar Marlee Matlin as the one deaf Oscar winner. Matlin stays the youngest very best actress winner at age 21 for the 1986 drama “Youngsters of a Lesser God.”
