As excitement mounts for Salman Khan’s forthcoming reality show, Bigg Boss 19, a recent promo on Instagram teased a novel twist: the audience will determine who enters the house this season.
Among the potential contestants, two names have been highlighted: Shahbaz Badesha, the brother of Bigg Boss 13’s Shehnaaz Gill, and Mridul Tiwari, a popular YouTuber. The public will cast their votes to decide who will earn a spot in the competition.
Mridul Tiwari is a widely recognized YouTuber with over 18 million subscribers on his channel, The Mridul. He is celebrated for his comedic content, rising to prominence in 2019 with the viral success of his video, School Life. Hailing from Etawah but now based in Noida, Mridul’s name also surfaced in connection with a hit-and-run case in Noida. Reports, however, clarified that he was not driving the vehicle during the incident.
Shahbaz Badesha has already appeared on Bigg Boss, having been on Season 13 as Shehnaaz Gill’s brother.
Speculations abound on social media regarding the celebrities approached to join ‘Bigg Boss 19’. Some names floated around are Amaal Malik, Faisu Malik, Apoorva Mukhija, Dhanashree Verma, and actors Rati Pandey and Bhavika Sharma. Furthermore, Khushi Dubey, a popular television actress, has confirmed being approached for the show. Despite these rumors, the official contestant list for ‘Bigg Boss 19’ is yet to be released.
While previous seasons typically ran for three months, this season is projected to be extended to five months. Reports indicate that Salman Khan will host ‘Bigg Boss 19’ for three months. Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Anil Kapoor are likely to step in as hosts later in the season. The previous season saw Karan Veer Mehra take home the trophy, with Vivian Dsena as the first runner-up. Avinash Mishra, Rajat Dalal, Esha Singh and Chum Darang were also among the finalists.
