Mumbai’s iconic 90s actress Madhu Shah may have stepped away from the silver screen, but her social media presence keeps her close to fans’ hearts. In a heartfelt post on Wednesday, she declared the elephant as her favorite animal, sharing a touching photo with one named Indrani.

The image shows Madhu in a serene moment beside the majestic creature. Captioning it ‘Indrani and I,’ she explained why elephants resonate with her so deeply. ‘If anyone asks which animal I relate to most, it’s always the elephant,’ she wrote. ‘They embody quiet strength—gentle yet immensely powerful and massive.’

Her post ended on an emotional note: ‘Indrani, I love you so much.’ Fans have flooded the comments with praise for her sensitivity, with many sharing their own animal love stories.

Madhu rose to fame in the 90s, starring alongside legends like Ajay Devgn in her debut ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ (1991) and earning acclaim in South cinema’s ‘Roja.’ She shared screen space with Naseeruddin Shah and Chiranjeevi, cementing her status as a versatile talent.

At the height of her career, she married businessman Anand Shah in 1999. The couple has two daughters, Amaya and Kiya. Interestingly, Anand is the cousin of Juhi Chawla’s husband, Jay Mehta. Their love story began when Anand spotted Madhu in ‘Diljale’ and was instantly smitten. A director facilitated their meeting, sparking a friendship that blossomed into romance.

Today, Madhu’s candid posts remind us of her enduring charm and the gentle giant she admires most.
