Patna, February 18: Bhojpuri cinema’s superstar singer and actor Khesari Lal Yadav has openly expressed his deep admiration for BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, clarifying that his respect doesn’t require political allegiance. In an exclusive conversation, Khesari affectionately called Manoj ‘Bhaiya’ (big brother), stating, ‘Manoj Bhaiya has always been my elder brother and will remain so. I don’t need to join any political party to prove that.’
Emphasizing his personal bond, Khesari revealed that Manoj Tiwari has been his idol for years. ‘You don’t need to join a party to serve an idol. Wherever he needs me, I’ll stand by him like a younger brother,’ he asserted. This statement comes amid speculations about Khesari’s political inclinations, given his past electoral foray.
On returning to politics, Khesari was candid. ‘I’m primarily an artist, and that’s where I belong. Politics demands too much pretense and lies, which isn’t me. I’m a truth-teller, and truth doesn’t survive in politics,’ he explained. Recalling his previous election bid, he added, ‘Circumstances forced me once, but I’ve learned my lesson. Now, I’m content as an artist, immersed in music and songs – that’s my life.’
Khesari’s fans eagerly await his upcoming film ‘Agnipariksha’, directed by Lal Babu Pandit and produced by Surinder Yadav. The movie features Khesari alongside Akanksha and Neelam in lead roles, with a strong ensemble cast including Sushil Singh, Prakash Jais, Sonu Pandey, Ritu Chauhan, Vinod Mishra, Sonia Mishra, Mahesh Acharya, Priyanka Sony, and Deepak Sinha. The trailer has already generated buzz, though the release date remains under wraps.
As Khesari focuses on his cinematic journey, his heartfelt tribute to Tiwari underscores a bond that transcends party lines, resonating with millions of fans who admire his authenticity both on and off screen.
