Patna’s Bhojpuri cinema scene is buzzing with drama as superstar Khesari Lal Yadav addresses fellow actor Pawan Singh’s recent refusal to meet him. In an exclusive interview, Khesari maintained a dignified stance, emphasizing personal freedom and mutual respect in their longstanding brotherly bond.
Pawan Singh had publicly declared he has no interest in meeting political figure Tejashwi Yadav, sparking speculation about tensions in the industry. Khesari, known for his chart-topping hits and massive fanbase, responded calmly: ‘We can’t force anyone. If someone doesn’t want to meet, that’s their choice. Everyone is free to live their life.’
He downplayed the rift, stating their homes don’t depend on each other’s visits. ‘We’ve both risen through hard work. Our place in fans’ hearts comes from quality work, not personal meetings,’ Khesari added. Reflecting on their history, he revealed he’s always treated Pawan as an elder brother, supporting him like family during elections and controversies.
‘Now, it’s Pawan’s call whether we meet or not,’ he said philosophically. On Pawan’s quip about Khesari’s song reaching space, Khesari took it positively: ‘It’s great that a song from our humble backgrounds will echo in space, with his blessings.’
Addressing Ravi Kishan’s criticism over Khesari touching elders’ feet, he defended his values: ‘Respect is in my upbringing. I touch my father’s feet daily; it’s my duty.’ Khesari concluded firmly: ‘Pawan supports me or not, the world knows our bond. I’ve grown fighting battles—no words can diminish that.’
This exchange highlights the complexities of stardom in Bhojpuri entertainment, where personal ties intersect with public personas.
