Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, pulsed with spiritual energy as the Isha Yoga Center hosted a grand Maha Shivratri celebration. Drawing crowds from across the country, the event saw an impressive lineup of dignitaries and celebrities. Among them were Andhra Pradesh BJP president PVN Madhav, Navjot Kaur Sidhu, and Bollywood actresses Juhi Chawla and Tanishaa Mukerji, who immersed themselves in the festivities.
Juhi Chawla, speaking exclusively about her decade-long association with Sadhguru and the Isha Foundation, described the experience as transformative. ‘For the past ten years, I’ve been guided by Sadhguru’s wisdom,’ she shared. ‘I’ve participated in his dialogues and joined the Kashi Yatra. Each visit to the Isha Center reveals a more expansive, organized, and powerful atmosphere.’
She highlighted the evolving grandeur of the Maha Shivratri event. ‘The stage, decorations, and cultural performances grow more spectacular every year. What started as a novel gathering has become a global phenomenon. Even at the airport, strangers exchange excited queries about attending the festival. This magnetic pull keeps bringing people back.’
Tanishaa Mukerji echoed the sentiment, crediting meditation for reshaping her life. ‘Meditation has been a game-changer,’ she revealed. ‘I used to battle intense anger that clouded my judgment. Now, through practice, I can discern when anger is justified and manage it effectively.’
Delving deeper, Tanishaa addressed common human struggles. ‘Procrastination plagues us all—we push today’s tasks to tomorrow. But centering myself in meditation ignites an inner drive to stay active and purposeful.’ She emphasized spirituality’s role in mental well-being: ‘Prayer and spiritual practices calm the mind and foster positivity. When feeling lost, sit with yourself, introspect, and ask probing questions. The Isha environment is ideal for such soul-searching, offering profound peace.’
The Maha Shivratri at Isha not only celebrated Shiva but also underscored the power of inner transformation, inspiring attendees to embrace meditation and devotion in their daily lives.
