Fans of the iconic television saga ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ have reason to celebrate as actor Jiten Lalwani is all set to reprise his memorable role as Kiran Virani in the show’s popular reboot, ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’. The current season of the reboot is already a strong performer, commanding significant viewership and competing fiercely with other top-rated shows. Lalwani’s reappearance is timed with an anticipated narrative jump in the series, indicating a crucial role for his character in the unfolding story.

Lalwani, who first endeared himself to audiences as Kiran Virani, Mihir Virani’s brother, in the original series back in 2000, expressed his enthusiasm for his comeback. “I am back on the show playing my favourite character, Kiran Virani, and I am quite excited about it,” he revealed. He further elaborated on his commitment to the project, stating, “They asked if I would be interested, and I immediately said yes. Although I am already doing another show, I decided to make some adjustments to be part of the second season of this iconic show.” The actor also spoke fondly of reuniting with veterans like Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay, and noted his pre-existing relationship with co-star Rohit Suchanti.

Following his initial success on ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, Jiten Lalwani has remained a consistent and active figure in Indian television and digital content. His career post-‘Kyunki’ includes a wide array of television projects like ‘The Adventures of Hatim’, ‘Dil Dosti Dance’, and ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’. Furthermore, he has successfully ventured into the OTT landscape, participating in impactful series such as ‘Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond’ and ‘Shoorveer’, underscoring his adaptability and continued relevance in the evolving entertainment industry.
