Mumbai, February 18, 2025 – Veteran Bollywood actress Jaya Prada marked a poignant milestone today, remembering her beloved brother and producer Raja Babu on the first anniversary of his passing. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the actress shared a cherished photo of Raja, accompanied by a deeply emotional note that resonated with fans and followers alike.

‘Dear Raja, we all miss you dearly,’ Jaya began her tribute. ‘A brother is that special person in the family who fills the shoes of many roles. He protects like a father, loves like a mother, teases like a sister, and stands by you like a true friend in every hardship.’ Her words painted a vivid picture of the irreplaceable bond they shared, evoking nostalgia and sorrow among those who read it.

Reflecting on the year gone by, Jaya wrote, ‘It’s been a full year since you left us, dear brother. Yet, not a single day passes without thoughts of you flooding our hearts. Your love and memories will forever live on in us. We miss you every moment and will continue to do so.’ The post quickly garnered thousands of likes and supportive messages from celebrities and fans, highlighting the enduring impact of family ties in the glitzy world of cinema.

Raja Babu breathed his last in a Hyderabad hospital in 2025, a loss that Jaya announced through her social media channels at the time. His funeral rites were also performed in the city. Though Raja ventured into acting with roles in films like ‘Sharda’, ‘Sannai Appanna’, and ‘Prem Tapasya’, success eluded him on the silver screen. He later turned to production, backing ‘Sawan Ka Mahina’ starring Jaya Prada and Rishi Kapoor, though the project never saw a theatrical release.

In his personal life, Raja found companionship in 1999 when he married Usha. Jaya Prada’s tribute serves as a powerful reminder of the profound personal losses that even icons endure, underscoring the human side of stardom. As fans continue to send condolences, her words immortalize a brother’s legacy in the hearts of many.
