In a heartwarming display of industry solidarity, music producer Rawa Inderjeet Singh Yadav has stepped up to support veteran comedian Rajpal Yadav amid his ongoing legal woes. Following the footsteps of actor Sonu Sood and politician Tej Pratap Yadav, Singh handed over a substantial Rs 1.11 crore to help Yadav navigate his financial crisis stemming from a bounced cheque case.

Rajpal Yadav, beloved for his hilarious roles in blockbusters like ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and ‘Hungama’, has long been a fixture in Bollywood comedy. Yet, behind the laughter, his personal life has been marred by severe financial troubles that have now led to a court-ordered jail term.

The aid comes at a critical juncture. Delhi High Court recently rejected Yadav’s pleas for extension and mandated him to surrender at Tihar Jail to serve a six-month sentence. The case dates back to 2010 when Yadav and his wife took a Rs 5 crore loan from a Delhi firm for their directorial venture ‘Ata Pata Laapata’. The film’s flop led to repayment issues, bounced cheques, and a case under the Negotiable Instruments Act. With interest and penalties, the debt ballooned to nearly Rs 9 crore.

Singh, owner of Gem Tunes Music, shared his thoughts on Instagram, emphasizing the human side of support. ‘Rajpal has brought joy to millions and is an integral part of Indian cinema. This isn’t just financial help; it’s about standing by a fellow human in tough times. Our industry is family, and family supports each other,’ he stated.

He recounted learning about Yadav’s plight through social media, which deeply affected him. Calling Yadav not just a great artist but a good man, Singh urged others to rally around him and his family. ‘I appeal to all Indians to extend help in this hour of need,’ he added.

This gesture underscores the Bollywood fraternity’s willingness to unite during crises, offering hope that collective support might alleviate Yadav’s burdens and allow him to return to entertaining audiences soon.
